4 Blackboxes make 1 Simulator

This week we packed the simulator for a power plant unit of voestalpine Stahl GmbH and sent it to our customer in Linz. The 4 pallets contain servers, switches, thin-clients, monitors and peripherals which will be installed in the training room in Linz. This gives voestalpine Stahl GmbH a one-to-one simulator of their block to train the operating personnel in all imaginable scenarios starting from January.

The simulator emulates the original power plant I&C system and the operating images so that no difference to the real plant can be seen.

After the setup and completion of the acceptance tests, the simulator can be taken over by voestalpine.

We are looking back on an exciting project which, due to the current corona situation, was faced with the challenge of carrying out the majority of the tests remotely.
